While the ‘return to the office’ gathered pace at the beginning of September, following the end of the school holidays, the average number of UK office workers returning to their desks was still below 20% for the week commencing 6th September, according to the latest return figures from Remit Consulting.

The latest research published by Remit Consulting into the number of office workers returning to the workplace has confirmed that there was no significant increase of workers returning to the workplace in the first week following the Government's ‘Freedom Day’ in England on 19 July.

A straw poll of building managers conducted by Remit Consulting on Monday, 19 July, described by the government as "Freedom Day", showed that the majority of building managers around the country noticed no increase in the number of staff and visitors to office buildings compared to the previous Monday.
