The number of people returning to work in the office in the UK has hit the highest level since the start of the pandemic, according to the latest data released by Remit Consulting.

The management consultant’s figures reveal that, for the week ending 13 May, average office occupancy rates for the UK reached 27.9%, the highest weekly average recorded over the past 12 months by the firm’s Return Report. In London, the average occupancy rate reached 29.3%. The weekly average for the West End submarket was 37.6%.

The number of people returning to work in the office bounced back following the Easter break, according to the latest data released by Remit Consulting.

The management consultant’s figures reveal that, for the week ending 29 April (the first full working week following Easter), average office occupancy rates for the UK reached 26%, the second-highest weekly average recorded over the past 12 months by the firm’s Return Report.

The latest data from Remit Consulting regarding average office occupancy levels in the UK, reveals a further small increase for the week ending 28th January, the first full working week following the Government’s announcement of the withdrawal of its Covid-19 ‘Work from Home guidance’.

According to the latest data released by Remit Consulting, average office occupancy levels in the UK rose slightly in the week ending 21 January, which coincided with the withdrawal of the ‘Work from Home guidance’ that was introduced in England during December.

The average levels of office occupancy in London’s West End have exceeded 30% during November, despite dipping to 28.5% in the week ending Friday 26th November, according to the latest research published by Remit Consulting, these are the highest monthly figures seen since the start of the study.

Half-term week in England saw a marginal fall in the average occupancy rate of offices across the country, according to the latest research from Remit Consulting.

According to the management consultant’s Return Report, the average occupancy rate fell to 19.9% (against 20% the previous week).
